We are grateful for the assistance of several moms who have volunteered to be the Classroom Mom - the central point of communication when the teacher or the HSA need to get a message home to all parents in a particular class. The Classroom Mom will reach out in the beginning of the school year to introduce herself and to make sure she has your contact information so that she can easily send information along. Parents are always encouraged to connect with the teacher on issues relating specifically to their child, the Classroom Mom is there to share general information about community service projects, class trips, parties, etc.

Mandatory Requirements for Each School Family Under Tuition Plan A Calendars
Each family is required to purchase or sell 15 cash calendars. Cash Calendars are a raffle for $10 each. During the months of February – June, one name is pulled each day for a cash prize. Winning tickets are placed back in the barrel with additional chances to win. Each family must purchase $150 worth of tickets or sell them. The Cash Calendars are due back by the end of November. *Cash Calendar sales generate $10,000 in revenue towards our fundraising goal.
Shopping Certificates/Gift Cards
Each school family is required to generate $210 in gift card profit for the school by purchasing ShopRite and/or Price Chopper cards, or Shop with Scrip gift cards beginning June 15, 2016 – May 15, 2015 for the ’16-’17 school year. In the event that a family does not purchase any cards during the school year, $210 will be charged through Smart Tuition on the June tuition bill. This reflects the profit St. Stephen-St. Edward School earns on the purchase of gift cards. If a family generates a portion of the required profit of $210, the balance due will be prorated. Updates can be viewed monthly through your Smart Tuition account.
Volunteer Hours
All school families are required to volunteer 30 hours for the ’16/17 school year. Your time and talent are worth more to us than anything, but if you cannot or choose not to volunteer, you will be billed $600 per family. If a family only volunteers a portion of the required 30 hours, the balance due will be prorated per hour to reflect this. Updates can be viewed monthly through your Smart Tuition account.
