TGA Golf Enrichment Program
TGA makes golf accessible by bringing a unique teaching curriculum to K-8 grade. We use modified equipment that is completely safe for school grounds, and lesson plans developed by educational experts and golf professionals. Our program reinforces character development, athletic development to fight childhood obesity, rules and etiquette to teach courtesy and citizenship, academic lessons to reinforce concepts learned in math, science, social studies, and language, as well as the golf skill lesson.
Kids build with assorted Legos or bring their own Legos to work on theme-based weekly projects.
Bricks 4 KidzBuild motorized models using specialized plans and Lego bricks, gears, axles, motors,
battery packs in this teacher guided afterschool class. This hands-on program is fun, interactive, engaging and promotes STEM concepts. All lessons are developed by engineers, architects and educators for the Bricks 4 Kidz theme based project kits. Join this custom program as we strive to boost self-esteem and teach organizational skills in a way that kids don’t realize they’re learning.
United Martial Arts Center
This introduction to martial arts is taught in a fun, safe, and non-contact way that
promotes life and character skills such as respect, self-control, focus, and spirit. Students will learn basic blocks, strikes, and kicks, along with some of the Korean language and history of Tae Kwon Do.
Latin Roots and Prefixes
Learn the basics of Latin roots and prefixes to help decode hundreds of words and
strengthen your vocabulary. This course will create a foundation on which to help
children successfully decode, spell and aid in reading comprehension.
SNAKES-N-SCALES Habitat Adventures
An in-depth trip to other worlds. Worlds full of creatures adapted to the very specific
place they live. Kids will be introduced to live reptiles like pythons, snapping turtles and alligators, amphibians, fish, tarantulas and others that we guarantee you will find
amazing! Join us for a hands-on trip around the world without leaving the classroom.
Spanish Club
A fun enrichment program for beginners to learn Spanish. Kids bring a small snack and a folder.
Basketball Skill & FUNdamentals
Become better at dribbling, passing and shooting and have fun playing the game.
Beginner Guitar
This workshop is designed for students who wish to explore the basics of guitar and music concepts. This workshop will develop each participant’s understanding of the basics of guitar; expose students to musical notation, tablature and the application to guitar; develop ensemble playing; explore the first position of the guitar neck, chords and assist with foundational technique.
Knitting For Beginners:
Learn to knit! Practice casting on, binding off, knitting and purling. Projects include a bird, a headband, a hat and a washcloth or scarf. We'll start with the bird and proceed with the remaining projects as you progress.
Flag Football
Kids will be physically active through non-contact, continuous action while learning the fundamentals of football, lessons in teamwork and sportsmanship. A fun and safe playing experience while acquiring basic football skills. Played outdoors, weather permitting.
Sewing Skills
This beginner sewing class includes working with a pattern, cutting fabric to size (cutting & pinning), learning about seam allowances (ironing), hand sewing (needles & thimbles), and machine sewing. Students will learn to make a throw pillow. We will also be embellishing/personalizing the pillow. (Students will be working with the iron, sharp scissors, needles, pins and a sewing machine under the guidance of an experienced Mom who sews.)
Baking I (Grades 1-4)
This is a hands-on baking class for our younger students that want to learn to make tasty treats. Measuring, mixing, baking and cleaning up are all part of the experience. The recipes will be shared at the end of each class.
Baking II (Grades 5-8)
This is a hands-on baking and cooking class for our older students that want a fun and
instructional experience. The recipes will be shared at the end of the 6 week session.
Mad Science
Explore the world of science with a different set of fun science projects each week.
Topics include Newton’s laws of motion, alternative energy sources, robotics, chemical reactions, the animal kingdom and energy transfer and conversion.
